I woke up feeling excited that this was going to be the start of something new in my life. A change that will make me feel so much better. At times I think we forget what it's like to feel well, as fatigue and lack of motivation takes over.
I began with fresh fruit for breakfast rather than my ususal porridge, yoghurt and milk, and yes some brown sugar as well. It was good, better than I'd feared.
Lunchtime came around and I made a salad, lots of sprouts, lettuce, cucumber, mushroom and tomato. One thing I've learned is that fresh tomatoes are fine, it's when we cook them that they become acidic and affect our reflux. It was tasty, so meal 2 disappeared down the hatch.
Dinner was somewhat more of a challenge. My lovely husband, Pog I call him whcic mean precious old gold, had been out and was supposed to have eaten while out, but hadn't. So instead of cooking a delicious meal it was frankfurters....processed I know.... and baked beans. While I made another salad of tomato, cauli, sprouts and ate it with the frankfurters. Then I had some fruit, after which I re read the new plan and realised I shouldn't eat fruit directly after my meal. Ooops! Too late. The good thing was I'd survived the day, no dairy, and tasty food and I wasn't hungry, and my mood was good which was a real bonus. Tomorrow I'm off to buy a juicer and really get into this regime. Wish me luck.
